I ummed and ahhd about doing Darcy's postcard challenge here until I eventually decided to do it in secret. The idea is that you make a postcard each week inspired by the country that Darcy chooses and for the back you make up 2 characters that correspond with each other via postcards. So last week I made the back for my first postcard from Austria.
And that is as far as I got until yesterday when I got my pencil and acrylic paints out and created the front. It's 20 years since I did any type of drawing, painting so to say I was nervous was an understatement. I gave myself 20 minutes and made myself leave it after that.
After I had done the first one I found myself thinking about the second country, Spain, more and more until I couldn't resist the urge to make another one.
I created the background using acrylic paints and then I drew and cut out a bull to stick over the flag, decorating it with red and black sharpies. I have now decided that it will be much more fun to join in with the challenge properly rather than lurking in the background and doing it in secret and I am really looking forward to Monday morning!!
